BN-W #26 - Dave Chappelle: "Analysis" of Chappelle's Show - 2/17/05

Episode 1 - Different But Equal. Much of this series is a rarely admitted perspective within the European academic circles about the major contributions of African history from White historian Basil Davidson. He includes information about African history that is in line with many of the great African scholars, including Cheikh Anta Diop, whom he includes in this series. Davidson also disputes many of the highly favored and often quoted European "scholars," including German philosopher Georg Hegel and the Greek historian Herodotus, who is dually known as the "father of history" as well as the "father of lies." He also discusses the destructive role of Cecil Rhodes (yes, as in the Rhodes Scholar). Due to its contents, this video series is very difficult to find, won't be taught in schools, and hasn't aired on television in years. Parts of the series can be purchased online -- however only in VHS format.
